established to contribute to Societal Advocacy and
Capacity building in Peace management/Conflict
Resolution and economic empowerment.
The Why of Us
Africa is in a situation in
which the call for and sustenance of total peace
in the continent is inevitable as the neglect of
it poses the danger of terminal imbalance, which
damning effect could stunt
man-power/infrastructural development and
jeopardize economic growth. Nigeria being the
Nucleus of this great continent cannot but have
total peace in order to effectively play her
role in continental leadership. We are here to
contribute to bringing a peaceful atmosphere
that will enable foreign investments and local
activities to thrive.
The role of religious bodies
in our polity cannot be ignored. The peaceful
co-existence and unity of the different
religious groups is important to the sustenance
of lasting peace in the continent.
COPF is striving to
continuously bring the leaders to lead their
various groups in the pathways of peace thereby
expanding the need of peace to families,
community, workplace, and the grass root.
And to help people find
personal peace, share their opinions of national
and world peace and how to achieve it and
promote peace at community levels.
Further more to advocate for
reduction of casualty amongst the most
vulnerable, with intent to provide a sanctuary
for women/children, caught in cross-fire during
